From Broken Bones to Dancing Again: How One Child’s Praise Unlocked a Miracle
Doctors said, “No movement for weeks.”
God said, “He’ll dance again by Sunday.”
One child’s praise turned a prognosis into a miracle.
Eight-year-old Josiah loved two things: Jesus and dancing during worship.
But after a playground accident shattered his leg in three places, doctors placed him in a full leg cast.
“Minimum six weeks. No weight. No activity,” they said.
Josiah cried not because of the pain, but because he couldn’t dance in church anymore.
But Josiah didn’t complain.
He worshiped from his chair.
He lifted his hands every time the music played.
He whispered, “God, I’ll praise You even if I never dance again.”
🕊️ The Day It Happened
That Sunday, something shifted.
During worship, Josiah stood on one leg just lifting his hands like always.
But something came over him.
He stepped forward on the broken leg.
Then again.
Then he danced. Full-on, barefoot, joyful dancing.
Gasps. Shouts. Tears.
His mother dropped to her knees.
Church members ran to him.
The cast had loosened and cracked open.
By the time the service ended, the boy who couldn’t walk was dancing in the aisles.
“You turned my mourning into dancing; You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy.” — Psalm 30:11
🔥 What It Teaches Us
Worship isn’t passive. It’s powerful.
Praise doesn’t ignore pain it transcends it.
Childlike faith isn’t immature. It’s unstoppable.
Sometimes, miracles show up not through begging… but through believing praise.
Reflection
What would happen if you worshiped before your breakthrough?
What could shift if you praised God not for what’s coming but for who He already is?
Prayer: Let My Worship Heal Me
Father God,
Thank You for showing up in places of childlike trust.
You said, “Let the little children come…” and today we come like Josiah: humble, expectant, full of praise.
You are still the God who heals bones, hearts, and hopelessness.
You still turn wheelchairs into worship, and casts into confetti.
Give us the courage to praise You before the answer.
Give us the joy to dance even while we’re still limping.
Let my worship draw Heaven close.
Let my praise activate power.
Let my faith move mountains.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
