God Didn’t Forget You, He’s Just Building Something Bigger
She thought God was quiet.
But He was laying the foundation.
The silence was not rejection. It was preparation.
It is hard when you pray and nothing happens.
Harder when it seems like everyone else is getting their breakthrough and you are just waiting.
You start asking questions you never thought you would ask.
Did I miss something?
Did I delay this somehow?
Did God move on without me?
But here is something I had to learn the hard way:
the silence of God is not the absence of God.
It is often the sound of something deeper being built.
You do not build a skyscraper in a day.
You dig deep first.
You clear the ground.
You lay foundations no one sees.
And sometimes, when it feels like nothing is happening,
everything is happening beneath the surface.
God does some of His most serious work underground.
In hidden places.
In quiet seasons.
In waiting rooms where faith has to grow without applause.
“Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.” — Habakkuk 2:3
Your name did not get lost in the shuffle of Heaven.
Your tears were not ignored.
Your faith has not been wasted.
He saw every time you praised Him when it hurt.
He noticed when you chose worship over worry.
He heard you when you whispered,
“God, I trust You,”
even though it felt like nothing was moving.
That kind of faith moves mountains.
That kind of trust builds legacy.
And that kind of surrender always leads to something bigger than you imagined.
So no, He did not forget you.
He is building something that takes time.
And you are not behind.
You are being built in ways you cannot yet measure.
The foundation always comes before the revealing.
And what God builds slowly, He often builds deeply.
Reflection
π What if the delay is not punishment, but a platform in progress?
π What if the silence is not emptiness, but evidence that God is doing hidden work?
π Can you trust that God is still writing your name into something greater than you can currently see?
Prayer
Father,
Thank You for seeing me even when I feel invisible.
Thank You for planning more than I can understand.
Today I lay down every fear, every doubt, and every timeline I created in my own strength.
Teach me to trust the silence.
Teach me to rest while You build.
Let my faith stretch beyond what I see and anchor itself in what You promised.
I surrender my agenda for Your architecture.
I lay my blueprint at Your feet.
Do what only You can do with my life.
When the time comes, let the testimony be too great for me to take the credit.
Let my waiting become worship.
Let my delay become destiny.
Let my hidden season produce deep roots and lasting fruit.
And when You reveal what You have been building,
let my story bring You glory.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
