She Didn’t Know What to Say, So She Started With Praise
She did not feel strong.
She did not feel ready.
She was not even sure if she was being heard.
But she still praised.
No deep theology.
No eloquent intercession.
No breakthrough moment.
Just quiet, halting praise in a room full of questions.
And that is where healing began.
Because praise does not wait for perfect conditions.
It invites God into the chaos.
It says,
“Even now, You are worthy.”
Sometimes life feels dry.
Prayer feels empty.
And all the usual faith language falls flat.
But something shifts when you stop trying to perform for God
and simply sit with Him.
She did not know how to explain the ache.
She did not have a clear request.
But she had a heart that still trusted God enough to say,
“You are still good.”
And that kind of praise matters.
Not because it impresses God,
but because it keeps your heart turned toward Him.
Praise is the posture of alignment.
It does not change God.
It changes you.
It steadies your soul.
It repositions your focus.
It adjusts your heart to His timeline
and loosens the pressure to understand everything all at once.
When you do not know what to say,
start with worship.
When you are overwhelmed,
start with gratitude.
When you feel dry,
open your mouth anyway.
Sometimes the most powerful prayer
is not a long prayer.
It is an honest one.
And sometimes one whispered
“Thank You”
is enough to remind your soul
that God is still near.
Reflection
💭 You do not need the perfect prayer.
You do not need polished words.
💭 Sometimes the most powerful prayer is a whispered,
“Thank You,”
in the middle of confusion.
💭 What would change if you stopped trying to sound strong before God and simply came honestly?
💭 Could praise be the doorway back to peace for you right now?
Prayer
Father,
I do not always have the words.
Sometimes I come to You tired, numb, or empty.
But I thank You for being near, even in my silence.
I choose to worship You before I understand.
I choose to honor You before I receive.
I lay every unanswered question at Your feet
and pick up praise instead.
Let my thankfulness be my weapon.
Let my surrender be my strategy.
Even when I am weary,
I will declare that You are faithful.
Fill the dry places in me with living water.
Teach me how to praise when I feel nothing.
Teach me how to trust when I cannot trace what You are doing.
I do not need all the answers.
I just need Your presence.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
