She Didn't Start With The List, She Started With The Lord

 

 

Her planner was packed, but her soul was starving. 

That’s when she realized productivity wasn’t the same as purpose.

She used to start the day by checking the boxes
Now she starts by checking in with God

Because what’s the point of a productive day
If your soul is running on empty?

She realized that busyness is not the same as alignment
And just because the schedule is packed
Doesn’t mean the Spirit is present

So instead of reaching for her to-do list
She reached for the Word

Instead of asking, “What’s next?”
She asked, “God, what’s first?”

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” — Proverbs 3:5–6

Let’s be real
Sometimes your routine becomes a religion
You wake up, check your phone, check your inbox, check your guilt…
But never check your heart Checking the boxes never replaced checking in with God. Busyness doesn’t equal blessing.

Here’s what shifted her day:

☕ One deep breath
📖 One scripture
✍🏾 One praise journal entry
🙏🏾 One whispered surrender: “Lord, I’m here before anything else.”

She stopped letting the calendar lead
And let Christ lead instead

Because when you start your morning with the Lord, not the list
You don’t just get direction
You get divine flow

You move from stressed to steady
From reactive to rooted
From scattered to secure

And that kind of day doesn’t come from hustle
It comes from Him

💭 REFLECTION:

What would shift if the Lord got your first glance not your phone?
Could your entire schedule change by putting Him first?

🙏 PRAYER:

Father,
Before the world calls my name
Before the tasks scream for my attention
Let my heart settle in You

I don’t want to live by alarms
I want to live by alignment

Teach me to slow down and seek You first
Fill my day with clarity, not cluttered checkmarks.
Let me be productive in purpose, not panic

I surrender my morning to You
You are not another task You are the source
If I start with You, I’m not just on time, I’m on assignment.
