Trusting God in the Waiting
“But those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength.” (Isaiah 40:31, ESV)
Devotional Thought
Waiting is not punishment. It is preparation. In seasons of delay, God strengthens what cannot be built in motion alone. Waiting teaches us dependence, sharpens our discernment, and deepens our trust. When we resist the urge to rush ahead, we discover that God is working beneath the surface, renewing our strength and refining our faith.
Prayer
Father, I bring my waiting seasons to You today. The prayers unanswered, the doors not yet opened, and the timelines I do not understand. Help me to trust You fully, even when progress feels slow.
Renew my strength as I wait. Replace frustration with faith and anxiety with peace. Teach me to rest in Your timing and remain obedient while I wait for clarity.
I choose not to rush ahead of You or grow weary in hope. I trust that You are faithful and that Your promises will come to pass at the right time. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Declarations
I wait on the Lord with trust and confidence.
My strength is renewed as I rest in God’s timing.
Delay does not mean denial. God is working for my good.
I walk forward with patience and faith.
Today’s Practice
When impatience rises, take a deep breath and say:
“Lord, I trust Your timing.”
