A Prayer For The Nation
It is easy to scroll through the news and feel helpless.
Policy after policy. Division after division. Leaders who disappoint. Systems that fail. And a cultural noise so loud it can make you wonder if anything is actually going to be okay. Many believers have defaulted to outrage. To arguments online. To a cynicism that looks like realism but is really just despair with better vocabulary.
But God has always called His people to something higher than commentary.
He called them to intercession.
The most powerful thing you can do for this nation is not cast a vote or win an argument. It is get on your knees and stand in the gap for a land that desperately needs God to move.
"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
A Prayer for the Nation Lord God, I stand in the gap for this nation. I will not just complain on social media. I will pray. Raise up righteous leaders at every level of government. Expose what is hidden in darkness and let it come to light. Heal the racial wounds that have never fully closed. Protect the innocent. Give wisdom to those who make laws and decisions that affect millions. Let revival begin not in Washington but in Your Church. And let it spill out into every street, every school, and every home in this land. Heal our land, God. We need You. Amen.
