A Prayer for the Woman Rebuilding From Nothing
There is a specific kind of tired that comes from starting over.
Not the tired of a long day, but the tired of a long season. The kind where you look around at what is left and realize you have to build again, almost from the ground up.
Maybe it is your finances. Maybe it is your family. Maybe it is your name, your peace, your sense of who you are after everything that tried to take you apart. Rebuilding from nothing does not mean you have nothing. It means you are starting the next chapter with fewer resources than you had before, and more faith than you knew you carried.
God specializes in this kind of work.
"Then the word of the Lord came to me: Before I formed you in the womb I knew you." Jeremiah 1:4-5
A Prayer for the Woman Rebuilding From Nothing
God, I am standing in what feels like ruins.
Some of it was taken from me. Some of it I had to walk away from. Either way, I am here, and I have to build again.
I do not have everything I need. But I have You, and You have never needed much to make something out of nothing.
You spoke the world into existence from emptiness. You can speak life back into my situation too.
Give me strength for today. Not for the whole road, just for today.
Rebuild my confidence the way You are rebuilding my circumstances.
Let this season teach me something I could not have learned any other way.
I will not despise small beginnings. I will not compare my rebuilding to someone else's finished house.
You are the God who restores. I trust You with what comes next.
Amen.
