A Prayer for the Workplace
You spend more waking hours at work than almost anywhere else in your life.
And for many believers the workplace is one of the most spiritually challenging environments they navigate every single day. Office politics. Difficult managers. Toxic colleagues. Unrecognized effort. The pressure to compromise your integrity just to survive. The exhaustion of being the only one in the room who is trying to do things God's way.
You were not placed there by accident. You were positioned there on purpose.
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." Colossians 3:23
A Prayer for the Workplace
Lord, I go to work today as unto You. Not just unto a boss or a paycheck.
Give me excellence in everything I put my hands to.
Surround me with favor like a shield.
In environments that are toxic, be my peace.
Where there is injustice, be my defender.
Give me wisdom to navigate politics, personalities, and pressure with grace.
Let my work ethic, my integrity, and my spirit be a witness that something is different about me.
Promote what I cannot promote on my own.
Amen.
